Terms and Conditions for SH Packers and Movers
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern the services provided by SH Packers and Movers (“Company”), and by using our services, you agree to abide by these Terms. Please read them carefully before availing of our services.
1. Definitions
- Customer: Refers to the individual, business, or entity engaging SH Packers and Movers for relocation services.
- Service: Includes packing, loading, transportation, unloading, unpacking, and any other relocation-related activities offered by the Company.
- Goods: Items being transported under the agreed service.
2. Scope of Services
- The Company provides relocation services, including but not limited to, packing, moving, loading, unloading, unpacking, and vehicle transportation.
- The services will be provided as per the agreed schedule, subject to the availability of resources.
3. Booking and Confirmation
- Customers must provide accurate information regarding the nature, quantity, and value of the goods to be transported.
- Bookings are considered confirmed upon receipt of advance payment as agreed upon during the consultation.
4. Pricing and Payments
4.1. Pricing
- Pricing is determined based on factors such as the distance of relocation, volume of goods, type of goods, and additional services requested.
- Any changes to the agreed scope of services may result in additional charges.
4.2. Payments
- Customers are required to pay a booking advance to confirm the service. The balance payment must be settled upon completion of the relocation.
- Payments can be made via cash, bank transfer, or other accepted methods.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling
5.1. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled service date.
- Advance payments may be forfeited in the event of cancellations made after this period.
5.2. Rescheduling
- Rescheduling requests are subject to availability and must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service date.
6. Responsibilities of the Customer
6.1. Declaration of Goods
- The Customer must provide a complete and accurate inventory of items to be transported.
- The Company is not responsible for any undeclared items.
6.2. Restricted Items
- Customers must not include prohibited items such as:
- Hazardous materials (chemicals, flammable substances).
- Illegal or contraband items.
- Perishable goods.
- The Company reserves the right to refuse the transport of restricted items.
6.3. Packing Assistance
- If the Customer opts to self-pack, the Company is not liable for damages caused by improper packing.
7. Company Responsibilities
7.1. Packing and Handling
- The Company ensures that goods are packed using appropriate materials and techniques to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
7.2. Transportation
- The Company uses well-maintained vehicles for safe transportation of goods.
7.3. Timely Delivery
- While the Company strives to adhere to agreed delivery schedules, delays caused by unforeseen circumstances (traffic, weather, etc.) are beyond our control.
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1. Limited Liability
- The Company’s liability is limited to damages arising from negligence during packing, loading, or transportation.
- The Company is not responsible for:
- Damages caused by natural disasters, accidents, or other events beyond its control.
- Loss or damage to fragile items not properly packed.
8.2. Insurance
- Customers are advised to purchase insurance for valuable or delicate items.
- Insurance claims must be directed to the insurance provider. The Company will assist in providing necessary documentation but is not responsible for claim processing or outcomes.
9. Loading and Unloading
- The Company’s team will handle the loading and unloading of goods with due care.
- The Customer or their representative must be present during these processes to verify and approve the inventory.
10. Delayed Services
- Delays due to reasons beyond the Company’s control (e.g., roadblocks, strikes, or weather conditions) do not constitute a breach of contract.
- Customers will be promptly informed in case of any expected delays.
11. Claims and Disputes
11.1. Damage Claims
- Claims for damages must be reported in writing within 24 hours of delivery.
- Supporting documentation, including photographs of the damaged items, must be provided.
11.2. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes will first be addressed amicably through negotiation.
- If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, India.
12. Confidentiality
- The Company values customer privacy and ensures that personal information is handled securely.
- Customer data will not be shared with unauthorized third parties unless required for service delivery or by law.
13. Force Majeure
The Company is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Acts of terrorism
- Government-imposed restrictions
- Labor strikes
14. Termination of Services
The Company reserves the right to terminate services if:
- The Customer violates these Terms.
- Prohibited items are discovered in the inventory.
- Payment obligations are not met.
15. Amendments to Terms and Conditions
The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms without prior notice. The latest version will be made available on our website or upon request.
16. Indemnification
The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from violations of these Terms.
